Making a Purchase
In order to purchase a product, simply browse through the online shopping facility. Click on the ‘Add To Cart’ icon next to your chosen product and the item will be put in your shopping basket (a running total is visible next to the shopping basket whilst you are shopping). Once you have finish shopping, click on ‘Checkout’. The products and total purchase price will appear and invite you to complete your payment and delivery details. All items shown on the website are subject to availability. In the event of any items not being available we will contact you to review your order.
At the check out you may request a short message to be enclosed on a gift card with your parcel. However, we do reserve the right to reject any message that we think may offend the recipient for being defamatory, racist, offensive, obscene or in breach of any other legal rights.
Making a Payment
Our minimum order is £10.00 to any UK mainland address. All prices quoted are in British Pounds (sterling). We accept credit/debit card which are processed by HSBC Bank via a secure on-line encrypted payment system, and accept credit or debit cards from MasterCard and Visa. Payment will not be debited from your account until the goods are despatched to you.
Postage and Packaging is charged at £5.99 for orders up to £30.00 (UK Mainland only). Free delivery (UK Mainland only) will be provided for all orders over £30.00. Delivery outside the UK Mainland is also available, please contact us for a quote.
We aim to despatch orders within three working days, but please allow 14 days in the event of being out of stock, but we will contact you if this is that case.
Please ensure that you provide accurate contact or delivery details to ensure timely delivery. We do not accept liability for any failed or late deliveries due to incorrect address details. In the event that nobody is available to receive the order, the courier will leave a card to arrange a convenient time. A signed note (‘Please leave the items at…’) will be acceptable, but we will take no responsibility in the event of missing items.
Cancellations, Returns, Refunds
If you change your mind about the product you may cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the items under the Distance Selling Directive. Products can only be returned if they are unopened and undamaged. Please note that in this case you will need to pay the return delivery charge however we will refund you the full amount that you have paid for the product including the original delivery charge. Unfortunately we cannot accept proof of postage as proof of receipt for the goods and the refund will be only issued if the products are received by us and are in a good condition.
Whereas every effort is made to supply high quality goods as shown, if the goods arrive damaged or are different to your order, we will send you a replacement or a refund for the full amount including the original delivery charge. For any claim to be accepted, The Wooden Spoon needs to be notified within 3 days of receiving the items on 01233 812 251 or [email protected]. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Many of our products contain alcohol and may only be ordered by customers aged 18 or over. By placing an order for an alcoholic product, you confirm that you are age 18 or over.
