This terrifyingly tasty ice cream float is packed with delicious strawberry jam, creamy vanilla ice cream and fizzy cream soda. Your little ones will (ice) scream with delight when they sip this bubbling brew through the jam and exploding popping candy rim!
Ingredients:
● 2 heaped teaspoons of Strawberry Slime no added sugar fruit spread
● 2 Scoops of vanilla ice cream
● Cream soda
● Popping candy
● Fizzy vampire teeth (Optional)
Decoration: (Optional)
● Halloween-themed straws or cocktail stirrers
● Spooky spiders and webs
How to make your Strawberry Ice-Scream Float
1. Prepare the popping rim, and jam
Start by decorating the rim of the glass. Take two spoonfuls of strawberry jam and press through a sieve into a bowl. Now coat the edge of the glass with some of the jam and set aside the rest of the jam for later. Next, turn your glass upside down and sprinkle the popping candy over the jammy rim. As it sticks, listen to the snap, crackle and pop! Important – Do this step just before making the drink. If you do it earlier the candy will go soft and lose its pop!
2. Add your base
Add a heaped teaspoon of the jam to the bottom of the glass plus a splash of the cream soda, stir to mix together.
3. Scoop the ice cream
Add two generous scoops of vanilla ice cream on top of the base.
4. Pour in the fizz
Now carefully pour more cream soda over the ice cream. Watch it bubble as it mixes with the ice cream to create a delicious frothy float.
5. Add the jammy ‘bloody’ drips
Take the rest of the pre sieved jam and drizzle it over the top of the float, allowing it to drip down over the sides of the glass. Pop on some fizzy sweets and enjoy.

● Serve immediately: So the ice cream doesn’t melt and the drink retains its froth and pop.
● Use Halloween-themed glassware and decorations: Get creative with your glassware, the spookier the better.
● Set up a DIY Float Station: Let the kids get involved by setting up a float making station where they can customize their floats with different jams (there are 4 ‘No Monster’s’ jams to choose from) ice cream flavours, spooky toppings, soda or lemonade, the choice is endless.
