‘Canterbury’ Jam wins Best Kent Product 2006

The Wooden Spoon was honoured to win this year’s Best Kent Product at the 2006 Taste of Kent awards with Canterbury Jam, a recognition of this unique hedgerow and hazelnut jam.

Belinda Higgins was naturally delighted to received the award from Geoff Clarke of BBC South East. ‘We were very pleased to win this award, especially after having lost out by just a few votes last year’ she enthused. ‘The award this year involved a taste panel rather purely being a voting exercise.’ She added.

The even, held at the Spa Hotel in Tunbridge Wells on Friday 27th October, was organised by Produced in kent and supported by BBC Radio Kent, Kent Life magazine, the Kent County Council and SEEDA (South East of England Development Agency).
